Lee's disdain for fossil fuels was also evident as her alien sidekick, presumably from a planet where wind and solar power are all the rage, powered up her battery by simply sneezing sunshine and rainbows. Lee, who apparently missed the memo about realizing that superpowers don’t exist in real life, ambitiously dreams of wiping out poverty, slaying the fossil fuel Goliath, and defending the fair democracy of America from the evil clutches of voter suppression and gerrymandering. Given Gov. Newsom's predilection for using his own political invisibility cloak recently, 'Wonder Woman' Barbara Lee might be just what the doctor ordered to halt his slide in popularity. One can only hope that Lee's appointment would check every box in the diversity and inclusion manual and perhaps earn Newsom an honorary Oscar for casting diversity. In the end, all Californians are eagerly waiting to see if their dear Governor will swap the Senate seat for the compelling 'Wonder Woman', or will the plot twist to reveal yet another character from his bag of multi-cultured marvels.
